Sukin > Purifying Masque & Micellar Water Review

Sukin have always come to the party when releasing new products. They are super affordable, natural, paraben & sulphate free, vegan and of course, cruelty free.

This week I tried the Micellar Cleansing Water, a gentle cleansing water infused with cucumber & chamomile to thoroughly remove makeup and soothe the skin. Suitable for all skin types.

There are a few various cleansing waters popping up from different brands these days and they are proving to be very popular. Some however are full of chemicals, skin-stripping alcohols and ingredients that are very harsh for your delicate skin. Not ideal.

I'm a newbie when it comes to cleansing waters but I have to say l LOVE this one and know a lot of you do too. I did a little bit of research beforehand. It's light and refreshing and makes things so much easier when removing makeup. You know those nights where ya just want to get into bed, this guy, helps ya get there faster.

I just used an organic cotton pad, applied some product and gently swiped across my eyelids and skin. Once I had removed the bulk of my makeup, I used a gentle face wash before applying the masque. The thing I like the most, there's no stinging like some toners I have used in the past, theres no strong chemical scent and your skin doesn't feel all tight and dry afterwards.

I then reached for the Sukin Purifying Facial Masque, a base of Kaolin clay with aloe vera and rose hip to soothe and hydrate, plus it will leave your skin feeling nurtured and reenergised. It's also suitable for all skin types.

Naturally, I had to give this one a test, my skin is super sensitive and extra dry in Winter so this one sounded ideal.

Seriously, within 30 seconds of applying this masque, my skin felt cooled and refreshed. I felt a real calming feeling as my skin is easily irritated, so this was lovely.

I find some clay based masques can have a tight feel once they begin to dry, however this one was super comfortable.

The scent is just enough, nothing over powering, I don't like really strong fragrances in products that are sitting on my face for longer than usual, so this one is perfect, the signature Sukin scent is mellow and fresh with a hint of sweetness.

I find masques like this are easily applied with a foundation brush, you don't waste as much product as you can control how much product you brush on and where.

I left this one on for 15 minutes and at this stage it was completely dry. Removing the masque was simple, a little warm water and you're done. I used the Hydrating Mist Toner afterwards, also from Skin, followed with the Tailor Hydrate.

My skin felt soft, definitely hydrated but most of all soothed, which I love, especially before heading to bed.

I highly recommend these two products, the Micellar water is a complete staple in my cupboard now and the Masque, a new favourite!

Much love, H x
